Other music tastes: I’m stuck in the 80s and early 90s, so I still listen to Cathy Dennis, Blackbox, The Human League, Kym Sims, Pseudo Echo, Wa Wa Nee, Stacey Q, Italo house, Eurobeat. But I played cello as a kid and love Baroque string music, so anything by Vivaldi or Corelli.

Why Mike Stock Music?
It was the sound of my adolescence and young adulthood. I remember hearing You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) on the radio for the first time in my bedroom in Brisbane in the 80s and it was unlike anything I’d heard before; I loved the sound, the energy, the cowbells, the handclaps! So I was hooked. Then I became aware of Princess, Mel & Kim, Rick Astley etc and I remember at some point connecting the dots, realising there was a common denominator to this sound. And in the ensuing years I filled in the blanks, discovering songs and artists I didn’t realise Mike produced. To this day Mike’s music takes me to my happy place. And I thank him so much for that.
